    New challenge

    Hello All,

    NASA is hosting a challenge open to all concerning the launching of a nano satellite (minimum of 1 Kg.). I was wondering if it would be practical to build a very long E.P.A. to launch nano-sats into orbit?

    It would be possible, but certainly not practical. If you crunch the numbers you'll see the power supply alone would cost a small fortune. I think a rocket has a much better chance of succeeding on any kind of budget...
